Major Tom Welcome to the site, lI have just looked at your website www.majortom.biz a very interesting site and I could rabbit on about tarot with you for hours, but the Mods would get a little cross. I bet jmd also would like to also. Having said that this being a Freemason Forum there still remains plenty we can talk about when linking Tarot with Freemasonry ;D

Whistler, Thanks for your welcome. And thanks also for taking the time to look at my website. Wanna buy a calendar? Jmd is the reason I'm here. We know each other from a tarot website www.tarotforum.net

Very interesting, MajorTom.
I have done some Tarot design myself, for my own amusement and spiritual development. I was much inspired in this by the "Fool of Chaos" deck given at
<http://www.thefoolof.chaosmagic.com/photo.html> <http://www.thefoolof.chaosmagic.com/photo2.html>
[NB, some rather forthright graphic imagery. Be warned.]
This is very much a Tarot for today, created using a computer design package such as Paint. It shows just how easy and exciting it can be to make one of your own. It also has a cool and classic look that just begs to be nicked and used by amateur card-designers. The actual content might be very subjective and not everyone's cup of tea, but it certainly outlines the possibilities for one's own version.

Oh, sorry. Apparently it won't let you link straight to those pages. D'oh!
However, if you go to the Homepage at <http://www.thefoolof.chaosmagic.com/> you can click on the links "Major Arcana" and "Minor Arcana" which take you to the same pages.

Thanks Ruff!
BTW that was a bit physical yesterday at Ibrox was it not? Where they trying to re-enact the "Battle of the Diamond" or something? Where you there? I was 400 odd miles away but had a mate text me the score as it happened. Still, you still have a chance if you can beat Barcellona.
Back on topic, are you in SRIS yet? I wish you all the best when you do so.

Thanks for your support. Actually, after what seems like a very long six months, I'm finally going through the Arch on Wednesday next (24th November '04). I'm assured that other orders and Degrees follow on afterwards fairly mechanically, i.e., without puffing and panting trying to signal my interest in that side of things.
So at the moment, there's about as much chance of me joining the SRIS as Celtic have of pulling off another Treble, never mind winning the Old Firm. Well, at least it'll keep Big 'Eck off the Buroo, or until the Jags want him back, anyway. Don't suppose Martin O'Neill fancies taking over from Berti Vogts? You never know... ;D

I will think of you at 9.00pm on Wednesday as I am seeing a workmate being Initiated here in Berkshire at that time. Enjoy The Arch as I know the Ceremony is far more authentic and thus more enjoyable than here in England, even if ours is also a wonderful experience, as you still have "Passing the Veils". Yes, Eck has saved himself a trip to sign on by his last two encounters with you Tims. I would not think O' Neill would debase himself with the Scotland job, leave that to Burns or Smith. Wee Martin's next move would be Man Utd when Sir Alex goes upstairs as a Director, or possibly that famous Russian Team "Chelski", or even Real Madrid, and I'd love to see how he would deal with that prima donna Beckham!!!! ;D Anyway, enjoy your Exaltation to become Companion Ruff. BTW any chance of a piccy of you on the appropriate thread? TTFN S&F from a Happy Bear!

BTW any chance of a piccy of you on the appropriate thread?Don't laugh, but the only pic of me on the Net (as far as I'm aware) is at <http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/thedevil1969/page7.html> Top left pic, I'm the bloke in the yellow Fred Perry and burgundy braces, and yes, I am facing away from the camera. And they don't enlarge, either. Oh well, it was a great night; even though we actually drank the bar dry. ;D

As the error message that the page is unavailable comes up you are even more of the Invisible Man.
Come on Ruff, what are you worried about, being taken out by a hit squad from the Legion of Mary or the KSC? Publish (your piccy) and be dammed.!

The link does work if you copy and paste it into the address space on a browser - you do need to take off the < > at each end
