I agree that people use symbols to mean whatever they want them to! I found a site where they were saying that the Superman logo was satanic!
So it is what people make of it, but do your research!

They also said that Proctor and Gamble's Logo of the Crescent Moon and Stars was Satanic. Some people need to lie down in a darkened and quiet room.

SYMBOLS Symbolism in the Book of Revelation – according to Edgar Cayce Some Symbols and their Meanings as per Edgar Cayce herebelow….. Note: Bracketed words are just casual Masonic associations I made while typing the table. Paradise of God- the original consciousness of humanity before his fall (Rose Croix) Tree of Life- spiritual centres of the body perfectly synchronized (a Lodge Reg.Assembled etc) Angel of the Church- the intelligent force governing a spiritual centre (Officer) Satan- the unregenerate mind Book of Life- the collective unconscious record of all souls (memory) (Mark Oversees) Earth- the physical body New Jerusalem- the new consciousness awakened Nakedness- the exposure of faults (Initiation) Seven Lamps- the seven intelligences of the spiritual centres of the body (Officers) Mark of the Beast- the pattern of animalistic behaviour Mark of the Lamb- the pattern of the evolved Divine behaviour Number of the Beast- natural humanity as opposed to evolved humanity Seven plagues- Trials in which the soul may overcome its karma (Mark & rejected works) Vials of the wrath of God- karma/consequences Armageddon- spiritual conflict False prophet- self-delusion Marriage of the Lamb- union of the evolved self with the Superconscious (R.Arch) Word of God- the Logos, the Christ, the fulfilled pattern of humanity (architecture) Lake of Fire- the subconscious area of repression, the “id” First resurrection- the reincarnation of advanced souls Gog and Magog- worldly influences The dead in judgement- reincarnating souls Hell- remorse, guilt and frustration Second death- the destruction of all manmade evil conditions 12 tribes of Israel, 12 gates, 12 angels, 12 foundations- the 12 basic patterns of man, the zodiac (R.Arch) Temple of God- the Superconscious mind ) New Jerusalem- the state of the evolved soul ) TRUE MASTERSHIP! Edgar Cayce, a devout Christian, unlocked the symbolism of the Book of Revelation while under hypnosis and these sessions were referred to as ‘readings’. He underwent a large number of these readings in his endeavour to find the hidden meaning of this particular Book. Hidden meaning? – lost word/s? A careful and considered perusal of the above correspondences may throw much light on some of the wording in our rituals, and give us a whole new story to ponder upon. After all the Book of Revelation ‘was written by a man named John (possibly John the Apostle). www.near-death.com/experiences/cayce10.htmlA site worth exploring. Maat

Since the human system is a microcosm then the interpretation by Cayce must have correspondences in the body of the Heavenly Man.
Could it be that the connections with the trans-human systems are equally important in the functioning of the Masonic lodge?
Cheers

Here is an interesting site for Seekers after Symbols ... it is valuable for demonstrating the inter-connectedness between the various diciplines. I will post it in the Links section also. LIBRARY OF ESOTERIC SYMBOLS "Esoteric study necessarily involves consideration of symbols, whether these are symbolic texts, sounds or visual glyphs. From the Indian tattvas to the trigrams of the Chinese I Ching, from the Jewish Kabbalah to the medieval Tarot cards, from the astrological glyphs to the complex emblems of Ceremonial Magic, every area of spiritual knowledge has its own symbology. Symbols and concepts like the Cross, the Trinity and even the fish are vital to an appreciation and comprehension of Christianity, and a holistic grasp of symbols is even more important for esoteric understanding. In our Library of Esoteric Symbols, a variety of important symbols are introduced for meditation and synthesis, and as a springboard to further exploration." www.byzant.com/symbols/Maat

OUROBOROS This posting is a direct result of 'Word Game'. As the meaning of the word seems to be all encompassing I had some trouble trying to decide where to post the link as is discusses the mystery schools, Egypt, Sacred Geometry and maybe even the idea of Reincarnation etc etc I thought it might be an interesting exercise to get posters to have a delve into the site and hopefully share with each other the parts that they can relate back to something they can see reflected or reaffirmed in Lodge. "Ouroboros is an ancient alchemy symbol depicting a snake or dragon [DNA] swallowing its own tail, constantly creating itself and forming a circle. It is the Wheel of Time - The Alchemy Wheel - 12 Around 1 to manifest grid programs that give the illusion of linear time allowing souls to experience emotions. Ouroboros is associated with Alchemy -- Gnosticism and Hermeticism. It represents the cyclical nature of things, eternal return, and other things perceived as cycles that begin anew as soon as they end. In some representations the serpent is shown as half light and half dark, echoing symbols such as the Yin Yang, which illustrates the dual nature of all things, but more importantly, that these opposites are not in conflict." www.crystalinks.com/ouroboros.htmlPlease follow the Sacred Geometry path for starters - (click "12 + 1" and then "Sacred Geometry") after all we are dealing with S & C's. Thanks for the feedback Perri - glad you liked it. Some of the best illustrations come from some 'odd' sites - so you have to be careful not to throw the baby out with the bathwater, as they say. As with all Links take what rings true and discard what doesn't. You are in for a real treat if you get time to follow up on the myriad of links you will find on this site. I look forward to your posts. Cheers Maat
