From my investigations I know there isn't a Cork lodge in London, there is one in Hertfordshire, and I think there is one in Essex.
Does anyone know how you go about 'consecrating' a Cork lodge, and would it be a viable proposition for London?

Hi Bod, if you have had a hunt around you probably have this already: www.corky.org.uk/#1But if not, well, it's a start. There is a contact to email someone about it. They may very well help you out. Ta ta, T T T. PS, I think our good Brother RuffAshlar is a Corkie, if so, he will be able to advise ADMIRAL-ably I'm sure!!

Not in the Eastern Star, either - I hope! ;D Hey, and steady on there, Two Ton Ted, less of the " good Brother RuffAshlar": I do have an evil reputation to protect, you know Yes, I am a Corkie, it's powerless to deny it. (Believe me, I've tried.) I was put through that Degree in Eastmuir, and I do believe that to this day there are certain indelible stains in one corner which are mute testament to the goings-on on that very night; although I've no idea how they got there, honest Guv. The cited web address gives some idea of the tenor of events, and to any prospective Candidates I would tender this advice: get a good dry cleaner, or alternatively wear what you would put on to dig the garden in a rainstorm. A rubber mackintosh comes to mind, but then I may just be weird and depraved. Oh, nearly forgot: as the Candidate is usually deprived of money or any metallic objects, so in the Cork he has to go in with sackfuls of small change. Don't ask me why.

Thanks you all for your answers. Now all I need to do is find enough people interested in forming a London Cork Lodge..... Please form an orderly queue ;D

A disorderly queue, I think.
And as the Cork is the only Degree to my knowledge of which an integral part is to get the Candidates comprehensively blootered, that'll probably be a drunk and disorderly queue.
