To be honest, it is visually too active and lacks some clarity. The background, though beautiful, is also too dominant.
For myself, I would prefer to have each of your links with a small explanation as to what characteristic each offers.
Having said this, it has all the makings of a really useful resource for further development.

I agree with jmd's remarks. But it is difficult to get the balance right when starting up a site on the Internet. One has to be careful and not give the impression it's a vanity project. I don't believe this is the case here, though. I do believe it shows genuine promise and potential.
Nice work.

For me, the background, as previously mentioned, is far too dominant. White letters on black background is an extreme in contrast. It could easily be a casino site from Las Vegas.
Not quite sure who you are trying to entice, but my first reaction was to go somewhere else.
But, hey, each to his own. It's just not for me.

honestly? awful.
Who are you trying to attract? Is it your fellow masons in Texas and the US or are you looking for a wider audience, and what are you hoping to offer people who join?
Sorry if I sound cynical, if there is a need for what you're providing it will atrract people and will work, but there have been quite a few of these web based groups before and they mostly end up being a waste of webspace, and run out of steam quite quickly.
I've lost count of the number of masonic forums that have come and gone, the ones that endure and last offer exactly the same as those that don't, but the ones that fall by the wayside are missing the 'spark' that the succesful ones have.
I'd suggest that you read some web design tips and put together something less busy - on the web less is definitely more.....

It's his first effort and he's trying his best so come on give the lad a break. You're on about a fellow Mason here and, from what I can see, is trying to help promote the Craft in a positive way.

Thank you Brothers for your comments. This is my first site. I love the craft and I am trying to promote the it. I don't mean to have such a "busy" site. I thought it looked great. But, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Thanks again and I will try to improve it.

Leonardo: I assume the link was posted for constructive criticism, which I hope has been given. Technically, the site is well constructed on the front page, it's just too brash for some of us.
It might be that it will attract a younger audience and that can't be bad but I prefer a more subtle looking site.
Why not check how many hits the siote gets over a period of time, say, 2-3 months. If the hits tail off or you do not get repeat hits from the same users, all easy to monitor, then you will get "real-time" feedback.
Good luck with the site anyway, mastermason1996.

Can I suggest you change the background colour of the entry page as it is difficult to read the text. Perhaps a lighter blue as used in this Forum rather than black.
Also, I personally feel that there are perhaps too many "Bells and Whistles" on the Front Page and these tend to distract the eye.
Nevertheless, my best wishes to you and your Brethren

Nicer background but still too much going on for my liking, and the picture gallery is simply a collection of clip art, I was expecting a photo gallery.
