I am not sure this qualifies as esoteric, but there have been multiple sightings and filming in the US of strange flying craft that are not aerodynamic Here is the most comprehensive explanation isaaccaret.fortunecity.com/Cheers Russell

Interesting post Russell... thank you. "In the beginning, was the WORD... " VSL "I say its holographic because you can divide it up into the smallest chunks you want and still find a scaled-down but complete representation of the whole system. They produce a nonlinear computational output when grouped. So 4 elements working together is actually more than 4 times more powerful than 1. Most of the internal "matter" .... is actually this substrate and can contribute to computation at any time and in any state. ... The language is actually a "functional blueprint". The forms of the shapes, symbols and arrangements thereof is itself functional. What makes it all especially difficult to grasp is that every element of each "diagram" is dependant on and related to every other element, which means no single detail can be created, removed or modified independently." from Russell's link. Holographs are fascinating and thought to be by Dr Richard Gerber, why out alternative health systems are so affective. He explores the actual science of etheric energies which are replacing the Newtonian worldview with a new model based on Einstein's physics of energy. www.innertraditions.com/Product.jmdx;jsessionid=A28A2B5F7FEA35F78E2B800AD3E8554F?action=displayDetail&id=648&searchString=vibmedMaat

This is very reminiscent of certain sacred diagrams, such as thangkas, which are designed to perform specific functions "when in the presence of a certain type of field", i.e. the devotional posture and attention of the supplicant. The same could be said of some mantras and catechisms. The Kabbalist's Tree of Life, also? Fascinating stuff, Russell.

Another co-incidence. After reading Russell's link above re symbols etc on the aircraft... "But their technology is different. It really did operate like the magical piece of paper sitting on a table, in a manner of speaking. They had something akin to a language, that could quite literally execute itself, at least in the presence of a very specific type of field. The language, a term I am still using very loosely, is a system of symbols (which does admittedly very much resemble a written language) along with geometric forms and patterns that fit together to form diagrams that are themselves functional. Once they are drawn, so to speak, on a suitable surface made of a suitable material and in the presence of a certain type of field, they immediately begin performing the desired tasks. It really did seem like magic to us, even after we began to understand the principles behind it." I came across some information in a book by Earlyne Chaney "Initiation in the Great Pyramid" that said the limestone casing on the pyramid was engraved(?) with symbols. I didn't know that! I did a quick check to see if that had been mentioned anywhere else and came up with this.. "Many techniques have been employed, but so far nothing significant has been discovered. Nor have ancient Egyptian inscriptions been found which inform us about the age, origin, or builders of the Giza Pyramids, but inscriptions were once there according to Blavatsky: The beautiful outer casing of both the pyramids -- of Cheops and SenSaophis -- has disappeared, engulfed in the palaces of Cairo and other cities. And with them are gone inscriptions and engraved records and cunning hieratic symbols. -- Collected Writings 11:359 www.theosophy-nw.org/theosnw/world/med/eg-vonk.htmJust for interest sake, Chaney states that the pyramids fulfilled many purposes.. It was a generator of energy It was a transmitter of energy - celestial to earth's core and back again. It was a safeguard against earth's excess energies which, since pyramids went into decline, are now destructively released via volcanoes (which are pyramid shape?!) It was this energy factor that kept the crystal capstone 'hovering' above the top of the pyramid and not sitting on it. It was also an initiatory site. Probably because of the heightened energies - sacred site? Chaney maintains that the Pyramid was both the Ark, and contained the Ark of the Covenent, which was pyramid in shape also. The Ark maintained the energy of the Ark of the Cov. Being an Ark Mariner I was surprised but highly amused to read this. Certainly gave me food for thought. shop.astara.org/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=33Maat
