As I am going to migrate next summer, I have recieved dispensation to have my third degree moved forward to 14. March, 2007 (usually it's a year between each degree, which would have meant around October), in order that I can have my Masonic Passport (as I have said before, my Order is pretty strict about visiting abroad, so this saves us all from any awkwardness).
I can't know the details of course, but from what I understand the ritual will be very different from most other constitutions. I also know that there's a special hall set aside to just this degree in Freemasons Hall in Copenhagen, which should ensure a spectacular evening.
Everyone is invited.
I'll make sure to take time out from work so that we can have lunch, and people can see the Hall, maybe catch another degree if you're interested. And there's coffee at my place.

That is so wonderful. It sounds like your GL recognizes your pace of development, the opportunities life is presenting you and is making such things possible. I'm glad. Congratulations ;D

Oh yeah, the hostel: www.danhostel.dk/vandrerhjem.asp?id=144It'll be the low season, so 520 kr for a 4 person room with shower, that's about £12 per person (plus sheets). There's an all-you-can-eat breakfast for 50 kr, and it's good quality (I actually think my Proposer catered there for a while). (And I live just by the C in Christiansborg.)

Good luck Bro.Thomas!
I am sure you will enjoy the 3rd very much.
In our Constitution we also spend a minim of a year between the degrees, and as a matter of fact, I have spent a year and half as FC before my Raising, and I must say I did not regret it at all. As fair as the Masonic passport, I am doing mine as well!

All the Best, Bro., Thomas! This will be an exciting evening for you. The MM ritual is - beneath the EA - the most impressing ritual ever.

Added bonus: Kirk MacNulty's 'Freemasonry: Symbols, Secrets, Significance' mentions Freemasons Hall in Copenhagen as one of the five most serious Masonic museums in the world, with some 11.500 items. I know the newly appointed curator personally and we can probably schedule a visit (it's not semi-public as in London).

Suggested program, subject to change and alternative ideas:
Wednesday: Check-in, lunch at a café, change of tights clothes, FM Hall museum tour (by Grand Antiquarian), my third (hooray!). Thursday: Tour of the hall (by John Peter), lunch somewhere and coffee at my place (and if there's anything else you wanna do).

Thanks for the update. Were you allowed to take pictures? It's still ahead of us, but no, usually not. Let's see what we can get away with, though.
