I have previously visited a site that identifies Soho Square streetplan layout in London with a likeness to King Solomons Temple. I am unable to now find this and would be grateful if any one can provide this link or info. This link is also very interesting with relation to KST home.earthlink.net/~tonybadillo/index.html

I once attempted to introduce the general theme of the link above into a conversation with a few holders of Grand Chapter Rank (before I'd seen the site...it was something I had wondered about for a while)...have to say, it didn't go down too well, judging by the fact that more of their soup ended up on my tie than on theirs...

First Class Staffs and Agent J!!!!!!!!!! Now what is interesting is that in the New Testament one of the charges against Jesus Christ was that he had said "I will destroy this temple and rebuild it in three days" Now to the Jews this was blasphemy and it was for that reason that they wished him put to death, the Romans had another agenda, to them he was an insurgent and thus a threat to their order and this too was levied against him to tip Pilate's hand. Now the point is that many Biblical Scholars hold that Christ did NOT mean the Temple Building , indeed he had shown great reverance for it by debating as a teenager there with the Priests and Scribes, and later by casting out the traders and money changers from the Temple courtyard. Some hold that by "this temple" he meant his own body that would be destroyed in Death and then would Rise again three days later. This has an echo in what you have posted and to me is another link to the Mystical and Esoteric with which Freemasonry is full if only one has the eyes and open- mind to see it. Thanks for this interesting link.

I just noticed that Shamir contains an anagram of Hiram.
It is a fairly meaningless observation, of course, because the anagram wouldn't work in Hebrew.

However, hiram "noble" contains 'imrah "bitter" and ramyah "God has loosed". JFYI

With thanks to Bro Bill at the lodgeroomuk forum, I include a snippet of something I discovered a few days ago. The post I made on the other forum I've now realised contains a few errors, but the main point I'd like to make is this: Vitruvius' school of Architecture taught that the 4 architectural styles of Columns (I believe the Composite was added much later) should be in specific proportions in order to render a Temple constructed of them Perfect. Da Vinci drew Vitruvian Man to illustrate, IMHO, the duality of the human form - when drawn in proportion, perfectly enclosed in a square (matter, body) and at the same time perfectly enclosed within a circle (spirit, or recognition of a divine ingredient within the individual). Taking this a step further, the same concept exists in the Lodge when two of the Great Lights, which can only be used to construct 2 distinct shapes, are placed in such a position that they overlap. It reminded me of those overlapping circles used to explain "sets" in school maths. The bit in the middle represents matter in conjunction with spirit. And then, without wishing to give the game away, something else happens when we get to Chapter. Apologies if I'm stating the obvious, but it only occurred to me recently.
