Has anyone read Laurence Gardner's latest book?
Apparently all the secrets (not words and passwords, the real ones) of Freemasonry are revealed inside...

Hi Andrew
If you're referring to The Shadow of Solomon then I do have this book. I have yet to read it though. But I hope to start soon.
It says on the back:
What ancient mystery lies behind the creation of Freemasonry - a lost secret so powerful that the Brotherhood itself has been on a quest to find it for 300 years.

Going by his "other books", I think I'll wait a few years until I find it for 50p in a second hand book shop, then toss a coin to see whether I buy it or not!!!!

Well at least, until someone else gives an explanation about the Lost Word we have to take his opinion as the most valid one...

Being a Mason myself I skipped the whole historical bits and pieces and went straight to the last chapter... I think Leo you have to read though the whole thing though.

Andrew I'm rarely surprised by anything I read these days but your comments have intrigued me even further.

Mr Gardner is Prior of the Celtic Church's Sacred Kindred of Saint Columba, Chevalier Labhran de St Germain, President Attache to the European Council of Princes, and still a member I believe of the Noble Household Guard of the Royal House of Stewart,( whats that one all about?) I personally would take anything he writes with a pinch of salt. It's amazing how many books you can sell if you print the word "Freemasonry" on the front cover. But then again he does have such influential friends as Prince Michael of Albany, the true king of Scotland,( , yeah right, a skint Belgian) and HRH Prince Nicholas de Vere, KGC, KCD, Princeps Draconis,Sovereign Grand Master and Magister Templi of Sarkany Rend, The Imperial and Royal Dragon Court and Order As for the "lost word" anyone who has taken any of the several side orders may believe that they have found it. If anyone really thinks this guy is historically orientated with regards Freemasonry they can have my hardback copy of his "Genesis of the Grail Kings" so that I can make way on the shelve for a decent masonic book. good! got that off my chest ;D

BTW, his main conclusions are that the whole game is give away in HRA, and in no other side/higher degree or Order. And I am not talking about the secret word anyone exalted knows...

A Tarnaris - you asked..
"Any hints/tips on that?" (The Lost Word).....
What happens when a stone is thrown into the water?
What might happen if a 'sound' was thrown into the 'waters of the deep'?
Music of the Spheres?
Are we just ripples on the surface of time? What note do we strike? Are we part of a chord?
I get good vibrations just thinking about it...

Has anyone read Laurence Gardner's latest book? Apparently all the secrets (not words and passwords, the real ones) of Freemasonry are revealed inside... I saw the rerun of an old Danny Kaye movie not long ago where he did a series of dances and during the dances the signs were given - first dance first sign etc - in order. I was quite astonished. Does anyone know if Danny Kaye was a Mason? ...and damn I can't remember the name of the movie...sorry. Maat

Just got to this book, and have just read the first chapter. Absolutely facinating. From what he writes there I can'thelp but wonder if I give anyone heart trembles.
Again there is another man who appears to have found it necessary to resign from UGLE in order to pursue Masonic understanding.
I will be reading the rest avidly. Wonder what I will think when I have finished. I have an incling as to what the lost word is, it will be interesting to see if what Mr Gardner writes is what I think. You never know it may make me think.
Mr Mason
I take your views on board before I jump in.

Apparently, the big secret is the Ark of the Covenant: 'capable of drawing energy into storage from the atmosphere to produce many tens of thousands of volts'.
Fancy!
But not only that, 'Moses, King Solomon and others used high-voltage electrical fire to transform gold into an exotic white powder that became the magical 'stardust' of romantic legend'. This secret material is now being investigated for fuel-cell technology since it is 'super-conductive' and 'resonates precisely with the light frequency of human DNA'.
I knew you chaps were up to something. That alchemy stuff was just a front - you were transforming gold into a white powder all along.
If someone wants my copy of 'Bloodline of the Holy Grail', by the same author, they only have to ask.
Jonathan
