There is a book available from Glasgow Libraries called "The Patter". It gives a guide to the local Glasgow dialect if you are going to Glasgow.

Be cautious if you are visiting Glasgow in July, it is the height of the Orange Marching season culminating with Big Orange Walk on the Saturday before the 12th of July.

I was in Belfast during the marching season once and the traffic was horrendous, everything blocked up. So, maybe on this occasion we'll give Glasgow a miss.
