It appears that in many countries like the:
UK (2008 mention of 20000 in Britain alone and another estimated that 60,000 female Masons belong to these two English Grand Lodges) and France (2002 statement that of all lodges, 20% belong to mixed-gender masonry and 11% are for women only and 1988 statement of The Feminine Grand Lodge of France 3,000 members with 60 Lodges practicing only the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite and others have quoted up to 40,000 current women masons across multiple obediences) and others across Mexico, South America and elsewhere
there is great interest in and membership in feminine lodges. Based on the information on US and Canada, it seems much more limited with 3+ lodges or so per country. What accounts for the difference?

No clue. I only know what is in my own obedience, then only estimates on my part as it is not a question I have ever asked.
Why not?
To me the important thing is that it DOES exist. There is room for Male only, Female only and mixed masonry.
Though to me I do find not having both men and women in the lodge is a little like trying to light a light bulb with only one wire and no ground. The circuit is simply incomplete. The ancient mysteries had both as I'm finding. It is an interesting subject and I wonder how our ritual is affected when there is a lack of one polarity or the other.

LOL.
I guess I just proved to even myself I found the right 'order.'
Sigh. I hope everyone can find what they are seeking.

Is this true? 60,000 female freemasons within the English grand lodges? First I have heard of it. Really? I know there was a very small minority back in the late 90's that wanted co-Masonry but I've not heard hardly anything about them in the past few years. I realize I'm late to this conversation, but forgive me, I'm new

Joi has concentrated her efforts on facebook. The order I am a member of has existed here in the states for over 100 years. I know nothing of England.
