Hello, I consider myself pagan (Proto-Indo-European pagan to be precise), and even if I love Plotin, Scot, Abélard, Böhme, Silesius, I don't believe in the Bible or in a personal god. I'm more of a pantheist or a transtheist.
So here is my question : Is there any rite, lodge or para-masonic lodge that can be considered pagan or pagan friendly ? For example to my understanding the Rite Ecossais Rectifié is really christian. Also is there any rite that is not abrahamic or cabalistic (that's not a judgment at all but I don't believe in that system) ?
I'd like to find a fraternity that is not politically oriented like the French Grand Orient (that tolerate all sorts of beliefs but that is really polical) and where I can live my spirituality freely with brothers (and sisters ?).
Thank you very much !

When you believe in 'something higher' you can basically join any lodge. Especially "Blue"/"craft" lodges are (outside Scandinavia) seldom explicitly Christian. Now part of the symbolism goes back to Jewish or Christian sources, but that doesn't mean they can't be enjoyed by non-Christians. As a matter of fact, I see a lot of 'pre-Christianity' in Freemasonry (see here). It's 'just' a system of symbolism with many and widely varied sources, not a church. You'll learn to think in symbols, not to profess some sort of faith. Hence lodges contain a variety of personalities. One will be mostly scientific, another New-Agey, the next one a Hindu or Muslim and maybe even a Christian. They all enjoy working with the same symbols. So-called "continental" Freemasonry does -similarly- not mean that you'll join a political pressure group. As a matter of fact, these lodges often have fairly esoteric (though 'adogmatic') leanings. It all comes down to what lodges are 'available' to you (to be found within your region). In a very conservative American state you may find mostly conservative lodges. In South America you are more likely to run into a continental/Latin type lodge ("irregular" in the eyes of some). Ideally there are different types of lodges within driving distance so you can try to find out which fits best.
