This morning I was feeling pretty rough, then I looked over at our 11 week old son and he gave me a big, lovely smile. I tell you my heart just lit up there and then. In fact, I'm stil smiling thinking about it.
This got me wondering what made other people/members smile today?

Yesterday evening. A very good Installation Meeting at my SRIA College (I am Secretary). Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, the meal was good and although we were thin on the ground all the Fratres rallied round and one Frater we thought was not attending owing to ill health was able to be there to our great delight and his. Bod, good to hear that your Moggie is on the mend. As those who know me are well aware I am a member of the Cat Protection League and have always been very fond of these delightful little creatures.

The festive board was especially joyful. And I got hear the 9'0clock Toast fot the first time that Bro Steve kept mentioning all along in his posts. Bro Bod, it was my honour to be as your guest yesterday. I would recommend Aarcheus Lodge to any Bro who can attend as a visitor.

Glad you enjoyed yourself, last night. I would have liked to have lingered a while in the bar after, but unfortunately was whisked away. It was good to meet some more forumites, and to break bread with them masonically.

I was happy host to Jumile, Atarnaris and MrMason - hope you all got safely home brothers. As Andrew has already said, it was my honour to be your guest. I had a great time - especially as everyone seemed so amiable, and of course because I got to meet two more forumites. Another thing that made me smile about Saturday was that while standing on the platform at Reading station I noticed two of my friends also waiting, so I had enjoyable company on the way in. And on the way back, a work colleague noticed me as he boarded my train, so I had company on the way back, too. Hardly noteworthy really, but I thought it a bizarre coincidence.

Jumile, Anytime we meet people (accidently or otherwise) and end up having a pleasent time is, in my book, always worthy of note.
