What's up folks? I haven't seen this Forum so empty before. Has an embargo been put on us, or an Internet Blocker of some sort to prevent postings or intercept and direct them elsewhere? Some threads have run out of steam as happens in any Forum or Discussion Group but I feel there is still meat on many, and of course any member can orginate a thread. So lets' be having them folks?

I'd been wondering about this as well. I think it has in someway to do with the fact this site/forum is not on any search engines directory and it is only via word of mouth that anyone finds their way here. Most, (if not all) fora need new blood to help keep things "fresh" and interesting for members, new and old. This is just my opinion

Steve Have you been listening to Pink Floyds The Wall? Great album mind you ;D I still drop in to TFM and that is very quite as well and The Lodge Room UK is still building up a base of members so that isnt that busy either, I think its got something to do with the weather I also think its a shame Russell has decided not to post anymore, for although I didnt (understand) agree with some of his posts I found them quite interesting, although I am in many 'Higher Degrees' I think Russells take on the esoteric was a lot different to mine and as I said in some posts he was very interesting and made some interesting points. Oh well

I have just got back from a weekend in France so hence my abscence this weekend folks.
It seems that when a forum goes quiet the others are quiet as well.
Also this time of year is extremely busy with central heating systems to repair and i must say the long days take thier toll as i get older. ;D ;D

There will always be days when things are a bit slow. All forums experience this. Many here may not be aware of it but I am actually a Mod on two other fora (Nothing to do with Freemasonry) and they experience the odd lull also. But the one thing they have going for them is they are on almost every search engine on the net!!
Google for Timeslip and you'll see what I mean ;D

Good!contact at last!(Play the five tones). Now would it be a good thing to be visible to Google? It would mean a lot of spam so we all have to do a lot more Moderation but in exchange we would get far more postings. What do folks think and how does one get a website onto Google's scanners?

generally everyone leads such a busy life and we have opportunities to do so many things in life .
This includes our time spent on posting and with the day to day pressures of work and daily life we sometimes have to prioritise our duties and My wifes duties for me gets the first vote else i would have no chance of posting here during my so called free times .
This could be another thread itself as to if masonry suffers or is suffering due to the tech world and our vast choice of pursuits ?

Lee All done Thing is I don't know when it will be added to its direcory. The following will show what I mean. "We add and update new sites to our index each time we crawl the web, and we invite you to submit your URL here. We do not add all submitted URLs to our index, and we cannot make any predictions or guarantees about when or if they will appear. "

Well lets keep submitting on a regular basis and see how we go.
We may well have to mod a little harder to weed out any trolls although we may well get a few new valuable contributors.

This is a really bad idea, imho, we are far better off not being on Googles radr, if we don't have the time to post how are people going to find the time to deal with the trolls that result from being on googles radar?
A retrograde step and one I have said before that we should not take.
