Good luck Bro Brad.
Hope to see you back when all this chaff stops flying around.
God be with you.

Didn't read that way to me. BTW, I was referring to your previous post on this thread. of courseyou were. I was ignoring your typical sarcasm that always seems to be directed at me. Sorry you missed that. Ditto

Sorry you are making yourself sick, Brad. No one is attacking YOU... some of us are just disagreeing with your opinions. The two are really different. Get well brother and come back when you feel up to it again. Rubbish! This has been an especially vicious personal attack.

Bro. Brad, I hope you reconsider the "forever" part of your post. A break is something we could all do with from time to time and I pray you'll return in due course.

Really? Pray show me where I have been personal with Brad... Too easy. Although I'll have to get back to you later as I have to attend to some commitments.

Ok Brethren. Is this how anyone would behave face to face? I know many of you through you several well reasoned posts and the several times that you have all treated me as Brother. Brother Theron Dunn may at times disagree with anyone on this board. He does not hide his feelings, he posts exactly what he thinks. He should be be respected as a man and a Mason. Brother Brad can at times be quite excited. That is to be expected. He is also a thoughtful and caring man and a Mason that deserves respect. Neither Brad nor Theron deserve to be attacked for their thoughts. Nor should they attack each other for that matter. I have had my own disagreements with both of these Brothers in the past. No issue, they are still my Brothers. That is the important thing. It is not so important that we agree. Brother Theron Dunn is a good man. When I disagree with him he is a good man, when I agree with him he is a good man. The same goes for Brother Brad. I am sure that the two of them would get along just fine on some other subject. My fiance and I have had intense arguements. (she was wrong by the way). Yet we are still madly in love. A disagreement amongst Brothers is just that, a disagreement. It should in no way interfere with that mystic tie.

I have GOT to stop going to work. I miss all of the excitement. This sort of thing couldn't avoided, which stinks. There are a couple sayings where I come from. The first being that perception is reality. We all live our lives based upon how we look at life and perceive things through our own looking glass. Some people are negative, some positive. Brad has a certain perception of "regular" Grand Lodges, which MAKES it reality. Other, Theron for example have certain perceptions of "clandestine" Grand Lodges. I personally have been called a bobblehead, a chainwearer, etc. because I am a member of my Grand Lodge. ( I actually have taken to the bobble head name and have gone on line and ordered myself as a bobble head in full regalia. Seriously funny) I have never taken these things seriously or personally, because the people that have said them have taken the time to try to explain their perspectives to me. That being said I have enjoyed sparring now and again with Jeff, Brad and even Theron. In my opinion it is CRUCIAL that we all remember that there is room for all of us. Freemasonry is an umbrella that several different styles a forms fall under. So I don't sit in lodge with Karen. Big freakin deal. She is a Mason. We sent her flowers after her first degree as I recall. There is all of this hoopla about the GOoUSA. There are bigger National Grand Lodges out there in the United States that have been around for years. (Don't tell me to quote my source. Look it up for yourself.) I think when we realize this we will all be better off. I'm glad that Brad is excited. My opportunity to BE a Mason has made the single most important impact on my life. If he gets this then awesome. The other saying that comes to mind goes something like
People of High intelligence talk about ideas People of average intelligence talk about things People of low intelligence talk about other people.
Personal attacks are beneath every one of us. We all lash out on occasion, but only a fool would not apologize.
and THAT is my $.02.

I also agree with Grand bobblehead.
and Leo is right time for some reflection.
Its getting to feel like a Lodge Room in here. Its going to get boring if we all agree.

We don't have to agree, or even have a great love fest. What we need to do is to recognize and respect each others right to be a Freemason in whatever way we choose. That is the bottom line to me. What a shame to be nit picking when we could be receiving from each other what we do not have in out lodges and that is such diversity. We seem to be spending so much time defending our rights to exist that we are wasting precious time and energy that culd be used in building.

Its going to get boring if we all agree. and that's right worshipful Grand bobblehead to you. since I'm on this tear, why not.. Bill has ticked me off as much as anyone on a Masonic forum could. He has pushed my buttons where no one else could. He is just so ......British I guess. It left me thinking about what could elicit so much emotion from me. I don't agree with every point with Bill, but I know that there is a special date for me 7 years from now that I will make every effort to get Bill to the United States and to Vermont. I have reflected upon this stuff, as should we all instead of idly dismissing things. I've spoken to one of the Grand Orient guys. They are excited and nervous. I didn't understand, so I called someone and now I do. It's that simple really.
