Has anyone found such a circuit in the various brain experiments?

If there had been thermal images done of his brain prior to, and after the accident, then that would have shown the precise area affected. Trauma to the head can cause all sorts of odd effects. Pluralitas non est ponenda sine neccesitate.

>then that would have shown the precise area affected.
I recall as story about Freud who when asked by a colleague about a difficult case, immediately diagnosed it from the symptoms. The colleague asked: how can you be sure?
Freud replied: I have seen 1000 cases like it
And the colleague said: I suppose you have now seen 1001
Such is science

Bringing this thread back to the fore.... so our newly installed Assistant Grand Steward of the MFoL Academy of Nature and Science may make his first contribution....
Over to you.... drum roll..... Bro Brandt!
Bro Brandt comes well qualified to extend our vision... as does our other excellent Grand Stewards, Bro Russell Holland et al.

This type of thing would be better served with its own sub-forum.

Last night on our TV there was a summary program of the local "Sensing Murder" Series - A Series when Psychic's were challenged to find details of murders - crimes where the victim hadn't been found. I had watched a number of them and had been most impressed by the accuracy and detail the psychics were able to give. I personally know one of them - he explained how strict the producers were - on the day the episode was to be made they have know idea what the case would be or where they might be taken. Their Cellphone removed and where constantly under observation so they couldn't do any research. In some episodes input was also given by a Psychic living overseas. The really interesting thing about the summary program a few years ago such a program would see the local Skeptic Society rolled out to rubbish such goings on - Now days we actually get a Professional Psychologist who hedges his bets - doesn't rubbish - doesn't confirm. Why put this in "Hidden Secrets of Science and Nature - Simply the tools that are used to see beyond the veil are truly worthy Secrets to think about -

Spot on Whistler. I agree with you. I can dowse/divine with some measure of success. Finding water I can understand, being mainly water ourselves there is sure to be a response of like to like. But finding a small coin in a huge field makes me wonder. I imagine the coin and then go from there and it works.
I will run your suggestion re the sub-forum past the Admin. Considering the number of hits we have had, that might be a good idea. I know it is very hard to find some of the old stuff I posted here, even when I know it is on this thread.

We just don't sit around twiddling fingers here as MFoL!
It will be interesting to see what threads emerge. If any reader wants to dicuss anything which heretofore has just been part of this one loooong (but very interesting) topic, please feel free to start a whole new thread on it. Can't wait to see what got you thinking ...
I have a few topics to expand on myself as soon as I get time.

I was contemplating today the occurrence of alchemy amongst the Royal Society and also noticing how alchemy (and more rarely Freemasonry) is variously referred to as the royal art or the royal science and noting also the Masonic insistence on royal patronage.
And putting it altogether I asked myself: Is the injunction to the FC to study the hidden mysteries of nature and science actually an injunction to study alchemy?
And if members of the Royal Society were involved with the 18th century reformation of Freemasonry, then the answer may well be Yes
Any thoughts?
Cheers

I reached that conclusion after researching the Royal Society and Alias Ashmole. I recommend "The Magus of Freemasonry" by Tobias Churton. Pretty much anything that Churton writes is top-notch in my estimation.

Which is what one of my dreams intimated?
Mercury came over the hill from the left to my right hand side(on a motor bike no less), snatched my book from my hand and have me one on Alchemy. The rest of the dream design (curvature of the earth, red in the rainbow etc) became apparent when I discovered in my library one of Franz Bardon's books on Hermetics - the cover of which could be related to the dream.
Interesting.

Interesting. Maat This was your subconcious communicating through symbols, which is how the deep mind talks to us. You knew that the book was in your library, because the mind never forgets anything that it sees.

>This was your subconcious communicating through symbols,
That is quite possibly correct.
But I wonder if there are any other explanations to be considered
For example, could it be the superconscious communicating?
Or is there yet another consciousness involved. For example: are our thoughts (and dreams) really our own?
How would we test the various possibilities?

How about a network...?.... of consciousness' Quite by chance when I came into this thread it opened at Tamrin's post on the Reticular Activating System... the diagram there, as soon as I saw it, reminded me of passing from one through the pillars of two and then there is a complicated network system of operations ruling our consciousness.... the centre of which, if damaged, renders us comatose. In previous posts I have related the various officers to parts of our psyche, which all have their own voice. Passionate voice, thoughtful voice, involuntary voice (which can be embarrassing ;D) It is not too far a stretch of the imagination, to take 7 angel intelligences or 7 planetary intelligences or 7 whatever intelligences at the end of a cone, the point of which 'keys in' to what we regard as our-selves While we are on this subject and because it is Christmas - on the way to work this morning the radio reporter was discussing the Archbishop of Canterbury's statement that what we are told about 'Christ's' birthdate, etc may not necessarily true. He went on in similar lines about the three kings, their gifts, where they came from, and of course, the star. There was a flashpoint in my mind, and the picture of the 3 Prinicipals of the Royal Arch and the Star in the East appeared in my mind's eye. I can see now that the 3 principals bear the gifts (that they represent in chapter-which means head) for us. It would be interesting to find out if the kings 3 gifts come close to symbolizing the principals 3 'gifts'. (The 3 Prinicipals are part of us as are the 3 sojourners) Point being, if we follow the clues of Masonry, then like Jesus, we too may have the Christ spirit born in us. HAH! I was just given a great gift ..... I was going to type Jesus' quote about 'what I do you can do also' and thought I better search to make sure I got the words right. Guess what I found ............. the lost Word www.scienceofmind.com/archives/articles_holmes_classic/holmes_february06.htmThank you God Maat

>I can see now that the 3 principals bear the gifts
In a sense that is true
The first principal "lowered kingship to earth" (Epic of Gilgamesh)
The second principal had above his house "an uplifted eye that searched all the lands" and was thus able to oversight the progress of the human race
The third principal was the teacher of humanity including in morality and thus had the mitre - actually a fishhead - being that the saviour of mankind is half-fish half man (Vishnu) or a fisher of men (Christ) or a fisher king (Grail)
cheers

>the lost Word
I suspect that that Lost Word is in fact the ''word" that allows us to step off Jacob's Ladder and enter into the Temple in the Heavens - as depicted in the EA TB
