Perhaps the first step is to distinguish the human mind from the Divine Mind - then at least we may consider mind and not-mind
And having done that, we might consider what "octave(s)" within human experience the human mind might occupy.
Other octaves might well be usefully given other labels such as physical and emotional.
Then we might consider what are the notes within the mental octave(s) and see if we can experience them in a controlled manner

How can we "test" that?

How can we "test" that? Various means exist based around Rising on the Planes This is taught in various schools including using the Tree of Life and the ladder of Horus/Mithras/Jacob where each rung is a gateway Alchemical teachings conceal the process under the planetary spheres and imply that without knowledge of the spheres the alchemical processes will not come to completion for lack of the secret fire Hindu teachings use the chakras (where the planes and the planetary spheres interact most directly with the etheric body). The Theosophical teachings refer to observations of the Planes and their inhabitants. All are based upon the same reality. It has been hard in past generations to find competent and willing teachers but more of the technique is coming into the public domain

Perhaps the first step is to distinguish the human mind from the Divine Mind ... I see no difference. One is a part of the other; not apart from the Other. Please explain how the One can be Two here. The point is that the human has (or aspires to) some degree of control of some amount of mental substance. This could be seen as a bubble within a greater system. And of course the range of substance that a human might use for mind activity is a very small subset of the range of substance useable in a Divine Mind. I might even wonder if the range of substance used by humans for propagating mental processes is actually too dense for use in Divine Thought. In that case interaction with the Divine Mind is by resonance rather than by sharing of substance It seems hardly possible for a human to share the same mind substance with a Deity. I would expect that the intensity of Divine Thought would render impossible any simultaneous human use of the same substance. I suspect then a lower analogue for human use

The mind is a difficult subject since commonly the mind is used to comprehend itself.
If the heart becomes open then that is generally more reliable as an instrument for human observation of concealed mental processes, structures and agendas

How do we know that it's not your colony that is making all this up? It is certainly a challenge to tell the Real from the Unreal. You might pray to TGAOTU for assistance: "Lead me from the unreal to the Real. Lead me from darkness to Light. Lead me from death to Immortality. "
