Here is one I found... having trouble with the search function.. Most of my stuff comes via dreams.. but they have a special quality about them. Lucid would only describe a small part of the experience.
You may be interested to know that long before I met Russell I had a dream.... (Apologies to those that have heard this before..)
From my left, over a grassy knoll, came two brothers, both with bushy red hair and red beards. They were dressed in Scottish type kilts with beret type caps. The kilts and caps were khaki coloured. As they came to rest on their haunches, they said "We be sitchins, we be sitchins".
In front of me appears a very well dressed fellow, again in full kilt, a cream background, rose and purple tartan. He challenges the brothers by stepping forward with the right foot and waving his right fist in the air says "If ye be sitchins, ye'd be telling your right hand what your left hand is doing!"
Upon hearing this one of the sitchins stands, reaches under his sporran (?) and produces a 10 Pound note... and hands it very reluctantly to the challenger."
There is much symbology in the dream, but for the purpose of this thread the most important lesson for me was - that it was only about 3 months after the dream, when I was relating it to a Scots friend, that I realised I knew how to spell sitchin, a word that I had never heard before. I typed it on the search line of the Internet and up comes all this stuff on Zacharia Sitchin.
It is of interest that his research into the Sumarian tablets features two brothers of different temperaments...
This was also the dream that absolutely confirmed for me that our minds are not just our own. How can "I" dream of a totally foreign word and then find it fits in with what I was thinking about at the time and directs me to a book where I found some answers??? Since then I have treated my 'extraordinary' dreams as did Jacob and others...
PS - I also dreamed of a French name, Marie D'Huile. It was 15 years later that I discovered that it actually translates into Marie (or Mary) of the Oil. Some years further on than that - it was pointed out to me that it meant anointed one. Marie the Anointed one.. or... Mary the Anointed who knows. More important to me was the question - where does this come from??
There are more things in Heaven and Earth...
Re your dream. "Sitchins" appears to be Scottish for "ones who sigh." Very appropriate for Scotsmen reluctantly handing over a ten pound note!
PS - at the time I had been contemplating what the reality of the biblical "sons of God visiting the daughters of men" was all about. I now consider this dream to be leading me to an answer to the question I asked. Zachariah Sitchin had been studying the Sumarian Tablets for many years and discovered who the sons of God may have been. Can recommend his book The Twelfth Planet.
I just read recently that our subconscious knowledge transcends time and space, all boundaries, hence it is omnicient in a sense. This might explain why my answer came in a dream.
I haven't 'fessed up till now the significance of the Marie D'Huile dream. Marie D'Huile was the name of a book I was reaching for in a library. When I went to retrieve it and hand came over mine and firmly encouraged me to put it back, saying... "that is terrible."
I have only ever had two experiences of clairaudience... and one of those was when I was told that in a previous life I had been a queen named Mary/Marie. It was not a good life.
Thinking back on that coincidence, the clairaudience experience preceded the dream by about 15 years and the one could have led to the other - albeit I did not know what the word D'Huile meant till a further 10 years had elapsed and someone I was relating the story to translated it for me. It took a third person another 5 years on from that to co-relate the oil to the anointed. Interesting - for me any way.
Also coincident maybe is that the queen's father in that supposed life bore a title that is my actual name this time round.
As I have said on many occasions previously... some up there has a sense of humour.
Thennn ... there was the time I saw a ghostly figure. Woke to find it standing next to the bed just looking down at me. When I remembered to breath again, I grit my teeth, turned over and put the sheet over my head and prayed to every holy person I could think of... asking them to make it go away.
Thing is he was very ordinary looking, not frightening at all apart from a downward pointing lip one end. This, a gifted friend pointed out to me later, was probably because he had died of a stoke... as soon as she said that I realised it described him perfectly. I can still see what he looks like in my mind today and still see his green t-shirt, v-neck with a collar .. he was not wispy or vapourous in any way. Anyway, he went away.
I had visited a friend in hospital not long before, maybe I was walking by at the time and was the brightest light he could see
I have prayed that he did finally find one brighter.

Hi Maat! Really interesting! I have always treated my dreams as they were a tool in my subconsiousness! I have actually made many decisions based on my dreams, maby too many
I have sorted my dreams in to three categories :
1). "The fysical and material dream" The dream is a result of what i have experienced threw the day, nothing special but very common.
2). "The symbolic and thruthgiving dream" This dream helps me figure out things, any problems i may have. The dream gives me scenarios and pictures i enterpretate when i wake up. I link the dream to situasions in my everyday life or others.
3). "The divine dream" This dream contains things that i do not understand how could enter my mind, it can be scenes from another time or place, life or past. It feels as if someone or something put the dream in my head. I can sometimes relate this to the allmighty, my ancestors or something else. These dreams are special and give me a massive sensation of the spirituality that surrounds us, and at there indeed is many things between heaven and earth.
Please excuse any writing errors i may have. But have you ever tried... Im not sure what the name is on english, but it could be "regression"?? You know you can visit a person with special skills, regarding finding out if you have a old or new soul on earth? This person puts you in a state of trance to enter your subconciousness. This allows you to experience parts of a past life. I have a good friend that did it and he had a very special experience. I was thinking of your description of dreams and names that appear in them? Maby you could find an answer on your past life if you tried this....?
Sorry for the delay in answering your post, just came across it... no, believe it or not I am quite suspicious of those that profess that they can access past lives ;D
I do believe there are those that can, but there are an aweful lot of charlatans, and self deceived folk out there.
Even dreams can deceive... if the info is coming from 'elsewhere' how can one tell if the intention is the aid or obstruct? I take things with a grain of salt, even though I am impressed by the experience itself.
Who was the 'god' who gave orders to kill entire villages, men, women, aged, children??
If 'god' told you to kill your child (Abraham) to prove how much you loved him, would you?
That is why I think that the dabbling with the unknown can be very dangerous, unless one has guidance one can trust.
What is the first care of every Freemason? Tyle the lodge (yourself). Intruders are not necessarily 3D.

Yes it is wise to be suspicious. I have always had a special belife in these things and trust my instinct. And of course one must be rational and have a healthy mind, If i ever recieved a dream to kill my beloved child from god i would lose my faith instantly. Our children are the greatest love of all. Yes i think there are many unhonest persons or other out there that pollutes peoples minds. But my faith will tell me that in the long run they will fail and justice prevail. Yeah me too.. I wont go too far into the unknown just the basics
About the dreams of Prophets, specifically, the dream of Abraham to sacrifice his son for God.
I feel the Spiritual experience of a Prophet is light years ahead of the spiritual experience of the most gifted spiritual (non-prophet) masters. I feel that Prophets are spiritually highly evolved. The non-prophet human's mastery of the spiritual is not even an atom in comparision to a single spiritual experience of a Prophet.
About the dream of Abraham, or the Miracles of Moshe(Moses) or the Solomon or David: We cannot not measure their prophetic spiritual experiences with the yard stick of even the best spiritual saint and sage. A Prophet is direct communion with G-d and is in constant assignment from G-d. Neither we, nor the most elite saint of all time, can shoulder the trials and tribulations subjected to the post of a Prophet. Nor can we bear a miniscule of the burden G-d puts on the Prophets.
The Prophet is whole different kind of creature. His personality is supra spiritual!
We cannot not measure their prophetic spiritual experiences with the yard stick of even the best spiritual saint and sage. A Prophet is direct communion with G-d and is in constant assignment from G-d.
Why not. There is quite a bit of evidence around that suggests that on more than one occasion 'the prophecies' were actually written after the event.
So if we cannot determine who the true Prophets are we should be suspicious of all of them. Check out their credentials I say. No disrespect, just common sense.
Heard on the radio today that some religious leaders are organising a meeting somewhere - the theme is on the need for suffering and was based on Jesus saying "Suffer little children to come unto Me".
Suffer can mean 'to allow". This Prophet was saying allow the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
I think we are all on constant assignment from G-d, and playing at being small and insignificant is just a cop out. What can we do, we are just small and insignificant, so we won't even try.
A large population of the world hails muhammad as the greatest messenger of G-d. And I respect their beliefs without believing in them myself. In my humble opinion, muhammad may not be considered a prophet. All his teachings and sacred texts are redundant with occult ideas and ideas already stated in earlier sacred texts. Striving to be like him has become an excuse for terrorism. So it has been throughout the history of islam and even today.
I personally feel that Shiva could have been a prophet. But in anycase he was an accomplished spiritual personality. If Shiva was a prophet, we can strive to be "LIKE" him BUT we cannot "BE" him. Only Shiva is Shiva!
I feel the blood line of Prophets that have some kind of connection to the Temple of Solomon are Key Prophets. Their Blood line is authentic. I feel their spirituality is beyond spiritual.
Our talking to G-d is not the same as Moshe's talking with G-d. Our talking does not literally usher us to mountain tops where the "finger" of G-d burns Commandments into stone tablets. This may happen for us allegorically but not literally. A literally event such as this can happen only for Moshe. Moshe is on a Direct Line with G-d. Moshe is light years beyond Spiritual.
We can strive to be "LIKE" Moshe but we cant actually become the original genuine Moshe! Only Moshe is Moshe. We can strive to be "LIKE" David but we cant actually become the original David. Only David is David. Our likeness to them can at most be allegorical. We cannot by our spiritual might replicate the miraculous events their personalities drew to themselves.
Imagine there is a great being of Light pressed up against the solar system. How would such a being impress its agenda on the wide range of kingdoms of creation within the solar system?
This might include mineral, animal, human, elemental, nature spirit, deva, and various others not apparent to the human race.
Well yes, a prophet is a human centric idea.
I do not feel it is neccessary for a being of light to impress ideas on the wide range of kingdoms of the universe.
But this may become neccessary in some cases. When it is neccessary, the prophet would be equiped with the lingual equivalents that exist in every plane of existence, high or low, and in every possible dimension.
I believe that David and Solomon had such command over a universal language. There are historical Judaic accounts that would indicate so.
In prophecies about the Meshiach, there is a similar indication to command over a universal language.
